WWII Re-enactment

Historic Fort Wayne grounds

ADMISSION $5 (children under 12 free)
Parking is $5 per vehicle. 
Fort tours available - $5 per person.

Historic Fort Wayne served as an Induction center for troops from 1941-1945 & 1961-1971. Meet members of the "Greatest Generation" as they recount stories from their military service. See equipment and vehicles  important to the war effort. Watch re-enactments of WWII & Vietnam battles. View special period displays and historic collections from the Detroit Historical Society and private collectors. Visit recreated camps of Allied and German soldiers and our own USO Cantina.

Swing Dance

Spring Swing Dance

Free dance instruction 8pm 

Historic Fort Wayne Visitor's Center

ADMISSION: $20 /individual or $35 /couple
Parking is $5 per vehicle. 

We are thrilled to invite you to a fun evening of music and dance from the 1940s. Our Spring Swing Dance is a fundraiser for our efforts at Historic Fort Wayne. The Visitor's Center was a recreation center for troops during World War Two and swing dances were held back then, too! Live music featuring the Dearborn Big Band. Refreshments available for purchase, prize raffles.
