Detroit was founded in 1701 by Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac and a convoy of French settlers. Le Rendez-vous du Détroit is a celebration of Detroit’s rich Native American and French heritages.
At Le Rendez-vous du Détroit, you’ll explore the sights and sounds of 18th century Détroit, with live French Canadian and Native American music and dancing; food; cultural exhibits; historical reenactors demonstrating 18th century living skills and traditions; a Silent Auction; 18th century children’s games and crafts and more!
You’ll hear the original (French and Native American) Motown Sound with La Compagnie Dance Troupe and the Native American drum group, Copper Hill.
